Sports complex built by three of the most active youth organizations of the Bay Area, which brought together families from the Bay Area with a new portfolio of education opportunities for youth. These created the ASA Basketball owner and the Excel basketball director of Excel Chris Whirlow and Phil Doherty, Directors of Flight Elite and Frank Allocco, Jr. They have more than 40 years of experience in young athletes to fill a gap in the local sports education program. The Ultimate Sports Association was created in order to fulfill this mission and also to manage and facilitate the financing of such a project. The Ultimate Sports Association is a Non-Profit 501C3, the Fieldhouse 's principal tenant and is responsible for both its activities and programming.

Hiram Penniman, an early American settler from California, founded Shadelands Ranch in 1856 as one of the first and largest farms in the Ygnacio Valley in California. Penniman planted a range of fruits and nuts, including peaches, pears, apricots, grapes, almonds, and walnuts, as well as prunes, which served as the most important and most lucrative crop for Penniman. Shadelands Fruit Farm was the original name of Penniman's ranch. Until 1970, when they gave the remaining 1,5 acres of ground and the ranch house to the town of Walnut Creek, California, the Gospel Foundation kept administering Shadelands.

The Ruth Bancroft Garden is a 2.5 acre Ruth Bancroft public dry garden. It includes over 2,000 shrubs, sugar, trees and shrubs originating from California, Mexico, Chile, South Africa and Australia. The Ruth Bancroft Garden, Inc. is a nonprofit organization which owns the garden and collects funds for its preservation at 1552 Bancroft Road at Walnut Creek, California, USA. The church campus is unique in nature with features like the maze, a church garden where Bible plants are cultivated and a community garden, where tenants cultivate fruits, vegetables and flowers. The campus is also unique. A broad range of activities and events will take place at Walnut Avenue UMC. This includes Stephan Ministrys, a Dorcas Circle and the Month Concert Series on the second Saturday. By involving Solano and Hillcrest food banks and partnering with charities like the Heifer Initiative, the Church serves the local and international societies actively.

In 1975 the Ygnacio Valley Library was built to serve the fast-growing Ygnacio Valley neighborhoods. The library was made possible by Mr. and Mrs. Thurman G. Casey, who once owned the house, through a generous donation of land and money.

In 2004, over $180,000 was raised by the Walnut Creek Library Foundation to renovate the Ygnacio Valley Library. The Ygnacio Valley Library has a medium-size conference room for meetings that can be booked via the library. At the entrance of the library, the Friends of the Ygnacio Valley Library have a bookshop and hold quarterly book sales.

Foothill Middle School, a suburban Walnut Creek School, is located in Contra Costa County, Mount Diablo Unified School District (MDUSD). The Foothill Middle School has been a student of history and ongoing development for more than 50 years with comprehensive and demanding university programs and social and emotional advancement opportunities through programs, classes and clubs. Students are strengthened with workshops, courses and clubs focused on the art of visual and performance, ecology, community service and more.
